There are two main ways to use the product in the shower. The first we call the dry method. First and foremost, spoon approximately a teaspoon of salt into the cap of the jar, and take the cap into the tub with you before you turn on the water.
Using pinches of scrub at a time, massage it gently all over the body, scrubbing with a little pressure where your skin is bumpy, excessively flaky, or rough. Then turn the shower on and rinse yourself thoroughly. Note that you do not use soap. This method is great for those times of the year when the weather dries out your skin.
In the second method, the wet method, you shower first, using soap, and apply the Sea Spa last, when you skin is wet. Again, you have the salt in the cap, and using small pinches, step back from the shower spray, smoothing it on wherever you want a wonderful finishing touch from the moisturizing oils contained in the salt. Step back under the shower spray, rinse off the salt, the oils will remain. Gently towel dry when finished.

If you enjoy taking tub baths, draw your warm bath, then standing on a towel outside of the tub, apply the Sea Spa to your skin as in the directions above for the dry method. Shake any excess salt that falls on the towel into the warm water, then slip into the tub yourself and rinse and relax.
During a dry treatment, if you want do a long and deep massage on your skin with the Sea Spa slip your hand inside a small plastic bag, to use as a glove to avoid irritating your fingertips from prolonged use of the salt. |
